What role does Sun Life Financial play in my DC pension?

Sun Life Financial is the service provider for the Canada Post DC pension. As a new DC member, you can take advantage of free personalized and confidential assistance from a Sun Life Financial service consultant to

  • better understand the features of your DC pension and the VSP,
  • make the most of Canada Post's matching contributions,
  • learn more about the investment options available, and
  • understand the online services and tools available from Sun Life Financial.

To set up a consultation, call the Sun Life Financial Client Solutions Centre at 1-866-292-3664, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET.

What information is available to me on the Sun Life Financial member website?

You can get personalized information about your DC and VSP retirement accounts and investment options on the Sun Life Financial website, mysunlife.ca. It contains retirement planning tools to help you develop and implement a savings and investment strategy that meets your needs, including the investment risk profiler and retirement planner.

How do I access Sun Life Financial online services and tools?

Sign in to mysunlife.ca using your account number. You can find your account number in your Welcome letter or on your statement. Then select the Register now link.

If you are a new DC member, Sun Life Financial will mail a Welcome letter to your home with your account number. In the meantime, the Your Information Booklet — Defined Contribution, found in your DC pension package, gives you a temporary Access ID and password to access information on the website (see page 1 of the booklet).

If you have forgotten your Access ID or password, go to mysunlife.ca and select I forgot my access ID or I forgot my password.
